Don't shoot the messenger

We've always had a lot of time for TOWIE's Danielle Armstrong: she tells it like it is and doesn't seem to take any shit from the Brentwood boys, including James Lock.

And she's demonstrated once again that she has a massive pair of lady balls by describing her part in the Megan McKenna / Pete Wicks sexting scandal.

It was Danni who was tasked with telling Megan that Jacqui Ryland, Pete's ex squeeze, had told her story to The Sun, including showing them messages that were too explicit for the paper to print (we totally would have printed them – just putting that out there).

"On tonight’s episode, I have to drop the bombshell to Megan that this girl had come out and that her and Pete had been sexting," Danielle explained on Lorraine.

"So I had to talk to her about that, she was aware of some messages and I think they wanted to keep it between themselves because sometimes you don’t want everyone knowing about it.

"I’ve seen a clip of it and it is actually heart breaking, it’s really sad."

Danni went on to confess that golden-boy Pete's betrayal has had repercussions throughout Essex:

"She’s one of my friends and Pete’s a lovely guy and I think that’s what her upset her the most and us girls because we didn’t expect that sort of thing from him.

"And now you're like, 'Are any of these guys going to be good?'"

Megan has also spoken about how her trust has been broken.

Although she says that Pete has got a new phone and number, deleted Snapchat and given her access to his Twitter and Instagram accounts, she said to The Sun online:

"I'll always be wondering who he's speaking to and how can I live with someone I can’t trust?"

Quite.

TOWIE continues tonight at 10pm on ITVBe.
