One of the great constants of Towie was the inconstancy of Lydia Bright and James ‘Arg’ Argent’s relationship status.
They were together, then they weren’t, then there was a short weird period when Lydia was with Tom Kilbey, and there was a Gemma Collins undercurrent running under it all.
It was brilliant telly, basically. And one of the most frustrating / delightful things about it all was Lydia’s belief that THIS time Arg had changed his ways.
He never had.
But now, Lydia says that she and Arg will never, ever, ever get back together again.
"If you don't see yourself together, in the future, ending up with someone forever, then you can't waste your time…
"I just know that it’s not what I want in the future,” she told *OK! *Magazine.
However, there are no hard feelings.
“It never worked out with us, but he’s not a bad person. He’s got a good heart. I always look back on us and think, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Not even the sharing Arg with Gemma at night, and a paella the next day thing? Really?
But now Lydia’s waved Towie goodbye, maybe Arg and GC will finally get married. That’s our dream, anyway. And we think maybe GC’s too.
