The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks has taken to Twitter to clear up some of the rumours surrounding his recent split with Megan McKenna, insisting it was a mutual decision.
Yesterday afternoon he wrote: "Just to clarify, Megan and I split because it was an unhealthy relationship. We hadn't been happy for a while and both agreed. #EnoughSaid."
This comes after Pete's friend and TOWIE co-star, Chloe Sims, claimed that Megan split with Pete 'completely out of the blue' and left him 'in tears'.
She wrote in her Star column: "They were happy, then she broke up with him out of the blue.
"Pete confides in me and he’s been in tears. I feel really sorry for him."
Pete also recently hit out on Twitter after it was reported that he was getting close to Chloe following his split from Megan, writing: "The shit im reading today is laughable...defamatory assumptions with all the facts left out of the stories?! Disappointed. #PureBollocks"
And he was quick to dismiss claims he'd be taking part in the next series of Celebs Go Dating (dammit, he'd be sooooo good), saying: "Just to confirm...im not doing dating shows. Press can make out what they want, I said I want @robbeckettcdomic to narrate my life! (sic)."
