Arg checked into The Priory just months after being suspended from the hit ITV reality show.
The 27-year-old’s suspension came amid rumours that his ‘hard partying’ was becoming an issue.
A source told The Mirror: “James was devastated by his suspension from the show and is truly sorry for letting down the cast and production team on the last series,” a source told the newspaper.
“He’s made the brave decision to spend his birthday and the festive period in rehab.”
The source continued: “He knows this is the most difficult season to manage his lifestyle so he is removing temptation by ensuring he can’t go out.
“He is feeling really good about his time there and is upbeat and positive.”
Hopefully Arg can still get Christmas cards in the rehab centre, where he is reportedly receiving round-the-clock care.
