Speaking to the magazine about being associated with all things Essex, Dan said: "I don't really get any stick, but I do know what you mean. People want to make you think you haven't got any talent and you can't do this, you can't do that, but the truth is we've all been given an opportunity and we've just taken it.
"You're not going to turn it down, so we're just the same as anyone else. You get a lot of people saying 'Oh, I got offered it and turned it down', which is a total lie."
