TOWIE’s Ferne McCann has said that playing netball helped her get over her split with Charlie Sims.

Ferne – who plays for her local team – told The Sun: “I’ve always loved netball.* TOWIE* know they need to schedule filming for me around my matches.

“As a single girl it’s been brilliant for me this month.

“I’ve not had time to mope around, I just go to training and have a laugh with a group of girls who have become my friends.”

Ferne teamed up with England netball player, Tamsin Greenway, to promote the end of the game’s Superleague Season, which sees it’s semi-finals broadcast on Sky this weekend.

“Watching the games live or on Sky you see what an exciting, fast-paced sport it is.” She added: “I get fed up when the TOWIE lads talk down about netball, thinking it’s just girls in skirts plodding around. They wouldn’t last a minute on the court.”

We wouldn’t mind seeing Lockie in a netball skirt, mind you…
