Exercise is sometimes hard to squeeze into our daily routines but Lucy Mecklenburgh has a way around that for all of us – squatting while scrambling eggs.
It doesn’t sound like a pretty sight, as we’re more likely to look like a chicken laying an egg, but if you want to ‘kill two birds with one stone’ [excuse the pun], then simple tasks around the house can be combined with exercise.
We caught up with Lucy and she told us the most unusual places she’s exercised: “I’ve squatted when brushing my teeth. One of my friends laughed at me once, when I was squatting whilst making scrambled egg, she was like ‘what are you doing?’ I was like ‘doing some training the day before and I was still sore and I was trying to stretch it out. She was like ‘What are you doing? I said ‘I’m doing scrambled eggs. I also used to do a couple of sit ups and a plank in bed!”
Lucy, if we tried the ‘scrambled egg’ squat, we’d end up with more egg on the floor than in the pan, but the bed plank is manageable, right? Well, it certainly is if we reverse it… #sleeping.
