TOWIEstar Vas J Morgan has spoke out about being attacked in New York by three thugs for “being gay.”
Having received hospital treatment, Vas posted a selfie on Twitter of him with a patch over his eye and an IV drip hooked up to his arm, with the caption: “Literally got attacked by 3 guys from Newcastle in nyc tonight cus “he’s the towie queer”.
Many of his fellow reality star friends rushed to share their concern - Stephanie Pratt replied: “Omg that’s disgusting – love you vas”, while Jessica Wright wrote: “This is disgraceful vas are you ok”.
Sam Faiers was equally shocked, tweeting: “This is awful & unacceptable sending you love xxx’, while Celebs Go Dating star Nadia Essex wrote: “Omg what is happening, these attacks are getting more and more consistent. Sending lots of love. Hope you are ok.”
Vas later reassured fans he was in safe hands, tweeting: “I’ll be fine and really appreciate you all.”
Vas was in New York for the US launch of TingsLondon – and just hours before the attack he posted photos on Instagram of him and pals at the event.
In the past Vas has opened up about the struggles he has with his sexuality. On TOWIE he told Lauren Pope: “My mum and dad will never accept it. Even my brother and sister who have been so supportive, I know they still feel uncomfortable with it.
“I’m not that religious so I don’t think I will go to hell but I have to admit I still do think that it is wrong. I think it is unnatural. That’s my personal belief.”
