When The Only Way Is Essex’s former resident Jennifer Lopez obsessive Charlie King first appeared on our screens and asked to paint a portrait of ex Gemma Collins, we never thought he’d be dating one of the biggest male pop stars in the world just a few months later but that’s apparently just what happened.
Charlie and singing sensation Sam Smith reportedly enjoyed a number of nights out after meeting on social media earlier this year.
Former reality star Charlie came out as gay on This Morning last October and has spoken before about how impressed he is by Sam’s singing voice.
And Charlie was even there for the warbler when he went through harrowing vocal surgery earlier this year.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Sam and Charlie don’t mix in the same circles so the only way they could meet was through social media.
“The pair went out together a number of times but always had to make sure they weren’t spotted. They preferred going to low-key pubs in London or to Sam’s apartment.”
But unfortunately it didn’t work out and the pair decided they were better off as friends in May after struggling to find the time for each other with Sam’s busy schedule.
Charlie has gushed about Sam numerous time on Twitter in the past, at one point writing: “How far this man has come in a year shows that ANYTHING is possible,” after tweeting: “You are just incredible.”
Oh well, the wedding guest list would have been UGH-MAZE-ING!
