“I’ve been turning negatives into positives,” Tulisa told* Kiss FM*. “I’ve been getting as much positivity as I can – I remind myself every day of the dark moments so I can enjoy the good times.”
“I was so grateful [for the opportunity to go back to the X Factor] with Lu-Lu [Louis Walsh] – I’ve been really enjoying the show. I know the emotions the judges are going through and the contestants. I’m having a lot of fun watching it.”
Since she came into the limelight with N-Dubz, aged 17, Tulisa’s seen her life turned upside down.
When she was arrested after a newspaper sting, the 26-year-old made a BBC3 show, Tulisa: The Price Of Fame, which documented her life during the trial.
“I know [the documentary] was a risk but I went for it. It was interested to watch how people kept their distance from me over the year then as soon as everything’s alright again, it’s like ‘hello’!
“[Some people] wouldn’t even stand in a photograph with me last year. I’m way to focused and busy to harbour negative energy, I just want to be happy now.”
The 26-year-old is now focussed on her music and admits her first album, The Female Boss, was released too quickly.
“I’m not putting pressure on myself with an album this time,” she added.
“Last time was rushed and all over the place. I want as many amazing singles I can get out as possible. I don’t feel like I’m in the place for it right now.
“I’m looking at [acting] next year but now I’m focussing on my music. In the New Year I’ll be back – watch this space.”
