Jack Russell, Uggie, was best known for starring in The Artist with Jean Dujardin in 2011, but he actually found fame in Water For Elephants earlier that year*,* starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson.

2012 was a big year for Uggie – not only did he become the first dog to have his paw-prints immortalised outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre, but he also released a book called Uggie, the Artist: My Story, and got an invite to the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
He then retired from showbusiness, with trainer Sarah Clifford saying: "He's at the stage where he just says, 'I think I want to go and lay in the sun by the pool’."
