Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will soon be back which is brilliant news because it means we will so hard our faces might actually fall off.

The first series of the Emmy-nominated Netflix original was great and it was so popular a second series has been commissioned.

All 13 episodes of the second season will be released on Netflix around the world on Friday 15 April.

It will feature Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) as she tries to find a new job, gay Titus (Tituss Burgess) who is forced to face his past after his ex-wife makes an appearance, Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) rediscovers her Native American roots, and landlady Lillian (Carol Kane) finds love.

A trailer for the upcoming series features a cheerful Kimmy, who says: “Hey, New York. I’m back and better than better.”

She then proceeds to dance through the streets as she shares her style with passersby by changing their outfits into something more brightly coloured.

The words “she’s making the world a Kimmier place” then appear on the screen before she shouts: “It’s gonna be the best year ever.”

The same team have worked on the new series which was created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock of 30 Rock fame.

The pair are both executive producers alongside Jeff Richmond and David Miner who also both worked on 30 Rock.

Yay!
