Apart from her marriage and children, there’s no doubt that one of Victoria Beckham’s proudest achievements is her high-end fashion line. Launched over ten years ago, her clothes have become hugely popular with the rich and famous and won critical acclaim.
However, that success has never translated into profits and it was recently revealed her company had made a loss of £12.8million in 2018, after a fall in sales. And while her chairman said it was what they expected, Posh is starting to panic and has been confiding in husband David.
“The business has suffered a series of set-backs, which has prompted Vic to ask David, ‘Is it all over?’ when it comes to her fashion brand,” a source close to the mum of four tells heat.
“She’s been in tears, because there’s no getting past the fact that the figures have not been good for a while now. It’s all such a mess.
“David can see how upset it’s making Vic, but at the same time, he feels they have to think of the kids – they can’t keep losing millions of pounds of their inheritance. Fashion is a hard business and David has told Vic to cut herself some slack, but she says she cannot stand by and watch her business fail.”

Although she had huge musical success with the Spice Girls, Posh – who has children Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 14, and eight-year-old Harper with former footballer David – sees her fashion empire as the venture that earned her real respect.
Our insider adds, “Vic can’t imagine what her life would be like without her fashion brand and has said that she doesn’t ever want to go back to the Spice Girls, while David still gets A-list ad campaigns.
She worries the imbalance could destabilise Brand Beckham. She tried to take her mind off things by organising family events over Christmas and New Year, but she feels as though there’s a big decision that needs to be made about the future of her business, and it’s been looming over her for months now.”
It has been reported that her fashion empire – which has lost £42m since its inception and been criticised for its eye-wateringly high price tags – has been bailed out by her and David’s company Beckham Brands Holdings, which is thought to have pumped in £23m over the years. And, naturally, Victoria is keen to turn things around.
“David has been trying to guide Vic and open her mind to switching things up when it comes to how she conducts herself and her business,” our insider says. “He’s been making loads of cash with Instagram recently, charging sky-high fees for his posts, and he puts that down to his likeability and charm. She’s feeling really grateful that David is sparing the time to help her make decisions and work out what to do next.
“The last thing she wants is to feel abandoned by him in this time of need for her. It’s been 11 years without any profits, and she knows it can’t go on.”
