We do love a bit of Victoria Beckham and we miss the Spice Girls days when she would amaze us in a little black dress as she stood on stage and pointed at the audience.

But we can’t say we were totally surprised when it emerged recently that her microphone was turned off during their live performances.

However, it now seems there’s more to the story - her former bandmate Mel B thinks she may have ASKED for her sound to be turned off.

Scary Spice insists Posh would never have conned fans into thinking she was singing live when she wasn’t but says she wouldn’t be surprised if she persuaded the crew to turn her track down slightly.

“She wishes it was turned off!”, Mel told Entertainment Tonight.

“We sung live, and we wrote and recorded all our music together live and we performed it live. It wasn’t turned down. Not that I know of.

“Maybe she secretly asked for that - I don’t know about that.”

Meanwhile, it recently came to light Mel may not be getting on too well with her Spice Girls namesake Mel C after she said she would only take part in a reunion to celebrate 20 years since the band’s formation if all five ladies were involved.

It's no secret Vicky B has said her pop days are firmly in her past now she's concentrating on her fashion empire.

And Eagle-eyed fans spotted Mel had unfollowed her Sporty friend on Twitter and Instagram, prompting speculation they were at war.

Mel, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner were spotted at a recording studio in London recently and many thought they may have been recording new music as their former producer tweeted his excitement after seemingly working with them again.

But Scary says any plans for them to work together again are “ongoing”.

She said: “It’s an ongoing thing we keep talking about, and it is our 20th anniversary, so we’re going to do something.

“We’re just trying to figure that out right now. There will be something happening.”
