Victoria Beckham’s plans for Brooklyn’s secret wedding

She had her big day over 20 years ago but now Victoria Beckham is in wedding planning mode again – this time for eldest son Brooklyn. We’re told that 20-year-old Brooklyn is preparing to propose to his girlfriend of five months Nicola Peltz after deciding that she is The One and doesn’t want to waste any time. And while dad David has his reservations about it moving too fast, mum Victoria couldn’t be happier.

“After his last relationship [with model Hana Cross], Victoria is just so happy that Brooklyn is with someone who she considers the perfect match for him,” our Beckham insider says. “Nicola is beautiful, rich, well brought up, ambitious, hardworking and so respectful - and gets on great with her. It's the first girl that Brooklyn has been with that Victoria is thinking 'nail that down', she just doesn't think he could find anyone more perfect.

“She comes from a seriously wealthy New York family, has a lot of connections and is exactly the type of girl Vic imagined her beloved son marrying. She also knows it would be the wedding of the year and she has so many ideas already.”

Brooklyn began dating Nicola, 24, last autumn and they quickly became inseparable with he budding photographer is often gushing about her Instagram, saying she completes him and is the love of his life. He also wants to get married young like his parents, who got engaged after six months when Victoria was 23 and David was 22. However, former footballer David thinks Brooklyn should be more established in his career first.

“David thinks Nicole is absolutely great - but he thinks Brooklyn is too young and that the couple should just be together for a few years without all this fuss over getting engaged and married,” our source adds. “He would prefer Brooklyn to have his career sorted first and just wants him to slow down. Victoria has pointed out how much happier Brooklyn is now, how hard he's working on his career, and he's so much more stable.

“She thinks him taking on the responsibility of a wife would be good for him, make him grow up. Nicole has a success father she admires so much and she expects Brooklyn to be as ambitious as that. So that's a wake-up call for him, he's got work to do!”

And Posh – who also has kids Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and eight-year-old Harper with David – is getting very excited about the first of them all getting hitched, whenever that they may be.

“Vic knows that as Mother of the Groom she doesn’t have as big a role as the Mother of the Bride but that doesn’t mean she’s going to sit in the background,” we’re told. “She wants her son to have the best of everything and wants it to be a wedding everyone talks about. She knows Nicola respects her as fashion designer so she can give her lots of tips and advice with her dress. And of course, she’ll make sure she’s the most glamorous guest there. She also wants an A-list guest list and hopes Brooklyn and Nicola will involve her in every step of the way.”
