It’s abundantly clear that family means everything to Victoria Beckham, and so while the last few months haven’t exactly been peachy, she’s evidently enjoyed the quality time she’s been able to spend with her husband and kids. But things are all about to change for the Beckhams as David is thought to finally be plotting to move back to Miami to run his football club there – and an insider close to Posh tells us that she’s quietly devastated.
“Having had him by her side for the past six months, Vic is now struggling with David moving back to Miami,” our source shares. “She’s worried that this is going to change everything, especially as they got on so well during lockdown. Victoria is upset at the thought of David being in Florida, because it’s likely he won’t be able to fly freely in and out of the US, due to quarantine issues, so it’ll mean he’ll be staying out there for longer time periods. He’ll effectively be away from her and the family for long stints.”
David posted an emotional picture on Instagram last week, celebrating Inter Miami’s first-ever victory on their sixth match. Holding up the club’s flag, David wrote, “Couldn’t be there for our historic first win in our stadium, but I was there in spirit. Congratulations to Diego Alonso, [head coach], our staff, players and, of course, our fans that also couldn’t be there... Winning feels good right? It’s 3am, hair’s a mess, flag’s the wrong way around, but don’t care because we won”.
After the coronavirus pandemic changed the face of live sport, David, 45, will be wanting to get back to the US to oversee such a critical time in the business, leaving Victoria, 46, behind with their younger three children – Brooklyn may also be in the US with his fiancée Nicola Peltz.

Victoria got a lot of flak for her makeup here - but this dress from her own collection is gorgeous
“It impacts Victoria on two levels,” we’re told. “Firstly, she’ll be parenting alone and, secondly, she will be restricted in her own work. She knows David has to be there for business, but what is upsetting her is that, having spent every day together for six months, their marriage felt really solid. His family will always be David’s priority, but he has to show his commitment to the football team.”
Last year, the family bought a £24m luxury apartment in Miami, complete with helipad, which David is expected to live in while Stateside – something else that Vic also isn’t too happy about.

“She hates the fact that he’ll be out there on his own, partying and going out,” we’re told. As heat had previously reported, Victoria wasn’t best pleased with David’s wild nights out in Miami last year – partying with his friend Dave Gardner among others.
Our source continues, “She thought that he may have changed his mind on how much time he was going to spend in Miami and be at home more. But now he’s realised that he can’t do that – if he wants to be a hands-on owner with Inter Miami, he has to be there. There are going to be some compromises and the perfect family life they have enjoyed recently is going to change, which is very hard for Vic to accept.”
