The feud reported to be rocking the Beckham family is continuing to rumble on. Relations between David and Victoria and their eldest son Brooklyn appear more strained than ever, after the aspiring chef, 26, seemingly made his feelings clear in a social media post dedicated to his wife Nicola Peltz, 30.
Sharing a video of himself riding a motorbike with actress Nicola, he wrote, ‘My whole world, I will love you forever, I always choose you baby, you’re the most amazing person I know, me and you forever baby.’ And a source tells heat that the latest twist in the feud has been particularly heartbreaking for Victoria, 51, and David, 50 – who are also parents to sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13 – as they think it’s obvious their firstborn has now made his choice.

Our source says, ‘The Beckhams are used to fighting fires, but this time they are realising their usual methods of calming the storm aren’t going to work. Brooklyn and Nicola are playing their own version of the game. They’re close to reaching the point where they feel like there’s nothing more they can do, and that any effort to reach out to Brooklyn and Nicola is only going to fan the flames. They don’t want this situation to get worse – they have tried really hard to build bridges, but they feel a line was crossed with Brooklyn’s social media post.’
And fans of David and Vic seem to share this view, with the comments section of Brooklyn’s post full of messages telling him to make amends with his mum and dad. One wrote, ‘Don’t forget your beautiful parents who will always love you unconditionally,’ while a second commented, ‘If that was my son saying that, knowing what the post is about, I would be devastated… Make sure the damage isn't irreparable when you need your family again.’ Another seemed to blame Nicola for the rift, writing, ‘Any loving wife should never make her husband choose between her and her husband's family.’

It’s not the first time that a fallout between Nicola and her in-laws has been rumoured, with it being reported that she and former Spice Girls singer Victoria butted heads in the lead-up to her and Brooklyn’s wedding in May 2022. A source said at the time that Nicola didn’t want Victoria ‘to be any part of the planning,’ adding, ‘They can’t stand each other and don’t talk.’ Nicola said in an interview months later, ‘It’s not a feud! I keep seeing that word everywhere.’ The two Mrs Beckhams put on a united front following the wedding, with Victoria appearing alongside Nicola at the premiere of her directorial debut Lola in February 2024.
But a lot seems to have changed in the year that followed, with the family split allegedly starting after Brooklyn disapproved of Romeo’s new girlfriend Kim Turnbull – who used to date his friend Rocco Ritchie. The row led to the couple failing to attend any of David’s 50th birthday celebrations, or to publicly wish Victoria a happy birthday and US Mother’s Day.

And the rift is clearly impacting the rest of the family – with Cruz posting his own emotional tribute to his family on social media. Sharing a photo of him standing alongside his parents and siblings in happier times, he wrote, ‘I love my family, I love you guys more than anything. Mum and dad, you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives.’
Our source adds that the string of events has made David and Victoria realise now is the time to distance themselves from their son’s life. ‘Victoria and David are taking a step back and trying to understand the situation and figure out a new plan. They hope that not engaging with the couple will give them some breathing space, and that over time, it will calm down and they’ll be able to figure things out with Brooklyn.’
