The ongoing Beckham family rift has never been more glaringly obvious than this summer, with Brooklyn and Nicola still artfully dodging any contact with his family despite them being in close proximity.
In early July, the couple were in Saint Tropez with the rest of the Peltz clan, staying on an £85million superyacht. Just two days after Brooklyn and the Peltzes left the French Riviera, the rest of the Beckhams were pictured holidaying on their £16m yacht in the same marina. But Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola avoided his family and instead holed up in the UK countryside.
However, a very public showdown between Victoria and her daughter-in-law looks to be on the cards, with the pair are set to come face-to-face at Holly Ramsay’s upcoming wedding to swimmer Adam Peaty. And sources tell heat the pressure is on for them to sort things out soon – or at least agree to be civil.

‘Although any type of reconciliation between Brooklyn and his family isn’t looking likely, friends on both sides have been urging them to sort it out,’ says an insider. ‘Holly’s getting married this winter, and the whole Beckham family have been invited, as the kids grew up together. Brooklyn’s almost a brother to Holly, and she’s almost as close to Vic and David as she is her own parents. She’s aware of the feud, but she desperately wants all of them to be there – it wouldn’t feel right without them.’
The Beckhams and Ramsays have been close for decades, with David and Gordon’s friendship going back 23 years. Gordon’s wife of 28 years Tana also has a strong bond with VB, describing her in the past as ‘my very special friend’. The tight-knit group means that Holly’s siblings – Megan, 27, twins Jack and Tilly, 23, Oscar, six, and one-year-old Jesse – and the Beckhams, including Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, also have a close relationship.
The two families have holidayed together on numerous occasions, and grew extremely close when they both relocated from the UK to LA, spending Christmases with each other. While there has been speculation of romances between the elder Beckham and Ramsay children, Gordon has put the kibosh firmly on that idea, saying, ‘We’ve promised that no one dates anybody.’

Now, as Holly, 25, looks forward to her big day with Adam – who popped the question in September last year – she desperately wants her second family at the wedding. But that may prove difficult, thanks to the ongoing drama between the Beckhams, which is said to have started at Nicola’s 2022 wedding to Brooklyn, with the actress, 30, rumoured to have fallen out with her fashion designer mother-in-law after opting not to wear a VB-designed dress.
After a brief spell of harmony, things have gone from bad to worse, with Brooklyn missing every one of his dad’s 50th birthday celebrations. He also failed to wish David a happy Father’s Day on social media, or even publicly acknowledge his Dad’s recent knighthood.
On top of all that, hours after wishing sister Harper a happy 14th birthday last month, Brooklyn and Nicola unfollowed his brothers on social media. Cruz and Romeo returned the favour, and reportedly blocked the pair. The insider continues, ‘Victoria and David would love Brooklyn and Nicola to go to the wedding, but they’re also worried it could be the first time they all see each other and want to avoid any awkwardness for the bride. Nicola’s never forgiven Victoria for the upset caused at her own wedding, so it may not be the best place for them all to be. Neither Brooklyn nor the rest of the Beckhams want to miss it, but Gordon has warned that there can be no distractions, and he is urging them to sort everything out before then – or he may have to choose who can attend.’

While the drama continues, Victoria, 51, seemingly made her feelings clear on social media recently. In the three weeks spanning 5-25 July, Brooklyn posted on Instagram 16 times. Twelve of those 16 post did not feature his wife, and of those dozen posts without Nicola in them, VB liked every single one.
And last month, heat reported that Victoria was facing a summer of sadness, because she wouldn’t get to see Brooklyn, despite the fact that Nicola’s family estate is in Palm Beach, just an hour away from the Beckhams’ £60m Miami mansion. ‘Brooklyn and Nicola are always welcome to join the family, but both Vic and David are done with the drama,’ a source told us at the time.
Now, our insider says of the potential showdown at Holly’s wedding, ‘Nicola doesn’t see why they shouldn’t go if they’re invited, and says it would be up to the Beckhams to keep things civil. She’s not afraid to speak her mind – she was recently pictured wearing an old pair of England football shorts [from the same era David played in when he first met Victoria], and the Beckhams felt it was a dig. If they’re all going to be in the same room at this wedding, then everyone is going to have to be on their best behaviour, for Holly’s sake.’
