Can you BELIEVE it’s been like six months since we heard that the Spice Girls were reforming?
Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton decided they weren’t going to Stop (lolol) and as the twentieth birthday of Wannabe happened, we got this cute video.
Our six-year-old selves rejoiced!
We ALL grabbed our scrunchies, sang songs off the Spice album in front of a mirror with a hairbrush and rewatched Spice World for the latest 90s fashspo.
Didn’t we?
… Well, we did.
Mel C spoke many a time about her decision not to re-join the band, saying that they should just leave on a high.
Ugh, NO, Mel C. Give the people what they want. Which will ALWAYS be the Spice Girls.
Victoria said that she’d be ‘sad’ if the girls used any of their previous material.
In fact, she would be SO sad that she’s apparently taking legal action to ensure that they don’t use any of the songs that she co-wrote.
WHAAAAAAT.
A source told The Sun: "Victoria was a huge part of their lives and now she is using lawyers to block their comeback.
"Victoria is proud of her Spice Girls history but this suggests she wants to cut all links with the group which transformed her life.
"She is resorting to aggressive legal letters and it is an extremely sad way for things to end after all they have been through together."
Now this news makes US sad.
Granted, over the weekend we found out that Geri had completely pulled out of the whole thing for now to focus on her family as she gets ready to give birth to her second child, so things weren’t looking too great anyway.
But still.
Don’t Say You’ll Be There and then say Goodbye!
Who Do You Think You Are, breaking our little six-year old-hearts, ladies? Does it mean now they’ll NEVER Spice Up Your Life?
It’s all just Too Much.
(OK we'll Stop now.)
