After three years of rumours of a bitter divide within the Beckham family, Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola look set to launch an avalanche of chaos with a new reality TV show. A source tells heat that the couple are starting to put the feelers out to big companies in their quest to ‘hit the big time’ – and ‘plenty of skeletons’ from David and Victoria’s past could resurface as a result.
‘Victoria is horrified. She knows how ambitious Nicola and Brooklyn are, and she knows from her own bitter experience how toxic reality TV is,’ says our insider. ‘Nicola and Brooklyn are going to be pushed to spill dirt on their show – that’s how the genre works. There are plenty of skeletons in her and David’s past that can be dredged up. She and David have always been so in control of their image, and the idea of it all being taken out of their hands is sickening.
‘It’s hard to imagine a worse scenario for Victoria than having her own daughter-in-law turn on her like this. She’s tried so hard to fix things, but Nicola is like a runaway train and Brooklyn is right there with her. It is truly heartbreaking, and as much as she and the family are putting on this happy public face, the pain of this is dominating everything they do right now. The fear of what this show might bring just adds another horrible layer to their agony. There have already been so many tears over this divide.’

If the series goes ahead, there’s no doubt viewers will be tuning in to hear Brooklyn and Nicola’s side of the story. Last month, the couple made their feelings towards David, 50, and Victoria, 51, clear when Nicola, 30, liked a post written by her longtime friend Rebecca Faria, in which she accused the Beckhams of being ‘toxic’.
‘I love seeing people who spend years in therapy over toxic family ties coming here and judging someone who actually had the guts to walk away,’ Rebecca wrote. ‘Everyone’s been kissing the Beckhams’ ass forever, and Nicola was the first to stand up for her values since [she] couldn't care less about their fame or money. The moment they couldn’t control everything, they lost it and started planting fake press to make her look bad in the public eye.’ Brooklyn, 26, then added more fuel to the fire by liking another comment that suggested it may have been his decision to not invite his family to their vow renewal, which took place in August.
As well as their ongoing rift, Brooklyn and Nicola could reveal further details about David and Victoria’s marriage, which has been hit by plenty of scandals over the years. The most publicised was David’s alleged affair with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos in 2003. Although the couple have always denied the claims, in their Netflix documentary Beckham, Vic revealed, ‘It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us. We were against each other, if I’m being completely honest’.

Multiple women have claimed to have had affairs with David – all of which he’s denied – including beauty salon owner Danielle Heath in 2004, and sex worker Irma Nici in 2010. And in his book The House Of Beckham, celebrity biographer Tom Bowers claimed Victoria punched David in the face after she heard the first reports of him cheating, and that the couple hit such a low point in 2016 that they barely spoke. Despite everything, however, Victoria and David have weathered the storms and until recently, built an image of a happy family with their four children.
Our source continues, ‘The pay cheque for Brooklyn and Nicola will be huge, especially if they’re willing to address the drama with his parents. But more importantly for them, it’ll be awesome exposure and open the door for a lot more deals to get done once they’ve got that precious shop window that comes with being broadcast into millions of living rooms. They are convinced they’re destined for the big time, both individually and as a couple, and they’d love to star in a show together. Now, it’s looking like a real possibility as the word is spreading around town that they’re interested in making a TV deal. Naturally, the power players are getting in touch to try and secure their signature.’
The source goes on, ‘Nicola believes they’ll totally ace it on camera. She’s been helping Brooklyn with his cooking videos for a while now and says he’s got star quality in abundance. And she loves to act, so this will be a no-brainer for her. She can enjoy her time on camera, but hopefully also clear up some misconceptions and show the world they’re the real deal and not just a spoilt pair of nepo babies. That whole label really annoys Nicola, especially. She’s keen to set the record straight and show just how hard she works, plus how sincere and beautiful her and Brooklyn’s love story really is.’

While the feud has been rumbling on for years, things really came to a head in April when Brooklyn and Nicola failed to turn up to David’s numerous 50th birthday celebrations. And the young couple made their most public statement yet when they renewed their vows in a lavish ceremony without his family present last month – just three years after their wedding.
Not only did David, Victoria and Brooklyn’s siblings, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, not make the invite list – which consisted mostly of Nicola’s billionaire clan and their friends – but the family reportedly only heard about the second wedding when they read the reports online. As heat reported, Victoria then ‘broke down sobbing’ when she saw the pictures of the second wedding plastered all over social media.
Despite the ongoing drama, Victoria has been putting on a brave face. Last week, she shared some snaps from her idyllic family holiday, which included everyone except Brooklyn. ‘Perfect end to the summer’, she captioned her post.
