With a mum who’s a leading beauty brand owner, it was only a matter of time before Harper Beckham would follow in her footsteps. And last week, Victoria and David’s daughter starred in an Instagram make-up tutorial for the newest VB Beauty product, the Colour Wash liquid blush. Fans flooded her with praise, with one saying, ‘So pretty. Has both her parents’ looks,’ while another remarked, ‘Imagine being a teenager and your mum having a make-up brand. What a dream.’

Harper’s star appearance comes amid rumours the teen would love to launch her own brand. And while Victoria is super-proud of her mini-me, we’re told she also worries about her quest to become the next big beauty mogul like Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber, who both have billion-dollar brands. ‘Victoria loves that Harper is finding a clear path in life already and so early on. She’s made it clear that she wants to follow in her mum’s footsteps by launching her own make-up brand and is also inspired by all the young beauty bloggers she follows online,’ our source says.

‘But Victoria is also fearful, because she’s seen young stars become billionaires in the beauty industry – and worries that Harper still has a lot of life to live before she is subjected to that responsibility and pressure. With the Beckham name behind her, Harper is going to have a headstart, but Victoria worries that it could almost get too successful too quickly.’

While Harper, who turned 14 earlier this month, doesn’t have her own social media account, she often features on her parents’, and there have been hints of her entering the industry. Last December, she previously enjoyed a makeover, raiding her mum’s beauty case and using £160-worth of products from her line. ‘I see Harper Seven’s been in my make-up bag again,’ Victoria said.

Harper also revealed her dream to ‘create an amazing brand when I’m older’ last October, as she joined her parents in New York for the launch of Victoria ’s new perfume Reverie. Victoria – who has already set up the business H7B Limited for their daughter with David – voiced her approval, saying, ‘Harper Seven following in Mummy’s footsteps and putting her hopes and dreams out there.’

After the Spice Girls, Victoria, 51, had a short-lived solo pop career before venturing into fashion and launching her own denim label dvb Style in 2006, followed by the fragrance Intimately Beckham with David, 50, and her V-Sculpt cosmetics line the year after. She launched her fashion brand in 2008, with Victoria Beckham Beauty following 11 years later. Our insider continues, ‘Victoria knows that she’s partly brought this on herself by encouraging Harper to collaborate on her own Victoria Beckham Beauty Brand. It’s been a great bonding experience, but also an education for Harper.

‘She and David would be helping to guide her every step of the way, but Harper is very independent and likes to do things her way. Victoria loves her daughter’s entrepreneurial spirit, she just wishes she wasn’t growing up so fast. She’s been trying to guide Harper behind the scenes, but she already has her own connections in the US and has said that’s where she wants to launch her brand when the time is right.’

We’re told that the mum of four is feeling more protective than ever, as the rest of the Beckhams remain estranged from eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz amid the continuing family feud. ‘It’s made Victoria feel even more protective over the children that still live with them, especially Harper, and she’ll do anything to protect her,’ the insider says. ‘Victoria’s going to continue to help her, but she’s really hoping Harper follows her advice and lets her parents keep a watchful eye over everything.

‘In an ideal world, Harper would wait until she is at least 16 to launch anything. For now, Victoria thinks she is a great brand ambassador for her own beauty line and hopes that will keep her occupied before she’s ready to branch out on her own.’
