Is it just us, or do you get the very strong impression Victoria Beckham wants to put all that Spice Girls stuff behind her and just pretend she’s always been a super-sassy fashion designer?
We thought that the last time the Spice Girls reunion rumours started flying round – though it turned out that VB DID get on the stage with her ex-bandmates at the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, and everyone thought it was the best thing ever.
This time though, Posh may not be performing if the rest of the band get back together to celebrate 20 years since their smash single Wannabe (20 YEARS. TWO WHOLE DECADES. WTF.) – she’ll be sitting in the front row instead.
According to the Sun, Victoria and Geri Halliwell got together for a chat about potentially teaming up again, but VB decided it wasn’t for her.
An insider tells the newspaper: “Geri filled Victoria in on the plans for the reunion next year and while Victoria made it clear she couldn’t make it, she said she was more than happy for the other girls to go ahead.
“It’s wrong to suggest she would try to stop them doing it if the other girls wanted to,” the source added.
“Victoria also told Geri she would be at one of the shows, or maybe more, cheering from the front row.”
Er, sorry, that’s not an option, VB. AS IF Emma Bunton would let you stay seated while the other four belt out their big classics. AS IF.
That’s not the only source of tension, apparently – Mel B has actually unfollowed Victoria on Twitter, so maybs it’s best they have a bit of space.
