Deciding where to spend this second lockdown is sadly not option many of us had but when you’re as rich and successful as the Beckhams, you have some tough choices to make. After spending the first one at their Cotswolds home, David and Victoria moved back to their London mansion at the end of the summer so their younger three kids – Romeo, 18, Cruz, 15, and nine-year-old Harper – could return to school and they could be closer to work. They continued to enjoy most weekends back in their lavish country estate, but with new restrictions in England coming in last week, they've had to reluctantly opt for full-time city life this time.
“They will have to see it through in London, because the kids are still in school,” our source explains.
“They would way rather be in the Cotswolds, Victoria especially, and they have been some clashes with David over it. She spoke about going back there and homeschooling the kids, but David didn’t feel comfortable about that. While they both felt they’d be better off as a family in the Cotswolds, he said it was very important for the kids to remain in school, especially with Cruz in his GCSE year. And he feels Harper is loving the routine of being back at school and doesn’t want to disrupt that – he knows how much she thrives in school. They obviously both want wants best for the children and their family but there’s no denying that Vic wants to be back in their beautiful Cotswolds estate.”

The government has also made it clear that going between homes during this time is not allowed and the couple are keen to make sure they don’t fall foul of the public as they did last time. Victoria, 46, came under fire after it was revealed she was using the furlough scheme to pay some of her staff, despite the couple being worth a reported £336 million – a decision she later reversed. It was also claimed the couple had both caught the virus in March, not long after holding a huge 21st birthday party for Brooklyn.
“Vic knows that they can’t do anything to upset the public again so staying in London is the best thing to do for everyone.” our insider explains. “She knows how lucky they are to have a huge house in London and they’re in a good position. But it’s not their ideal situation and she fears she is going to go stir crazy. They had so much space and access to lovely walks in the countryside in the Cotswolds and it felt very different, so she's already counting down the days.”
They are also struggling as they have to be away from Brooklyn again, who is in America with fiancée Nicola Peltz. The couple spent the first part of lockdown in the US before coming back to the UK for the summer and now they’re in LA again, Posh is worried about when she will see them again.
“Vic found Brooklyn being away really hard this first time and fears this time will be ever harder,” we’re told. “It’s the uncertainty that she hates and not knowing when they will be able to come back. She just wants all her family around her again but has to accept that Brooklyn has his own life with Nicola. Although there have been a few clashes with David over their plans, she’s relying on him more than ever to help get her through this.”
