Posh and Becks falling apart again

After 20 years of marriage, Victoria Beckham is well aware that it takes a lot of sacrifices and compromises to have a happy and successful relationship.

But it looks as if she could be about to make the biggest sacrifice yet, as she contemplates uprooting her life and career to spend more time with David in the face of a new marriage crisis.

The couple were on holiday in LA last week with their four children – Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 14, and eight-year-old Harper – and it seems they will now be spending more time in the US as David moves to Miami to start work on his football club.

“Victoria has just launched her beauty range and it’s already been a huge success,” an insider tells heat. “It’s currently based in the UK, but the plan is to grow it big in the US rather than Europe, so that she can base herself there with David.

"She’s spent the last ten years working to build her empire, but has now admitted that, while she is still dedicated to it, her marriage is a bigger priority."

"So, if David is going to be based in Miami, then that’s where she wants to be, too. She knows it’ll be a lot of upheaval, as the majority of her staff are based in London and, if they remain there, she’ll have to deal with issues such as the time difference when she needs to speak to them.

"But she managed it when the family all lived in LA for five years, and she’ll make sure she hires more US-based staff if needed.

"Her children and David are what really make her happy –she can’t face any more marriage problems, soshe knows she has to act now.”

Victoria, 45, and David, 44, had been in a good place with their marriage in recent months following a difficult few years. They enjoyed a relaxed summer spending more quality time together as a family and a couple.

But we’re told things have started to fall apart again as they prepare to spend more time apart from each other. However, Victoria is determined that this won’t break them, and our insider says she feels that if she doesn’t do something now, they may never recover from it.

“Having been through the roller coaster of the last two years, Victoria knows how hard they have to work to keep that spark alive – and she also fears it just won’t survive long distance,” we’re told.

“Her friends are saying she’s really uneasy with living apart again, so she’ll do whatever it takes to be with David as much as she can. She’s said that, obviously, she’d prefer not to have to be doing so much travelling, but at least the Miami sunshine will compensate for that.

Her attitude is that if her business failed tomorrow, she’d start another one, but if her marriage failed, she doesn’t think she would ever recover from that. It will be tough, but she can’t see any other option.”

David has been working on his Miami football dream for the past five years and last week, he unveiled the plans for the stadium. And while it won’t be ready for a couple more years, the team are set to play at a temporary venue, so they can take part in the 2020 season, which starts in April.

And, over the next months, David will be very involved with signing players and coaches and getting everything ready.

He had previously said he would be moving to Miami alone and that his family would visit “whenever they can”.

But now the insider says Vic is considering schools for the youngest two children in case they all decide to move out there permanently, adding that even if she and the kids remained based in London, she will be out there a lot more than they had planned.

“Vic’s worked hard to get the marriage back on track,” says the source. “It’s her proudest achievement to have been married for 20 years. But she finds it frustrating that it always seems to be her who makes the compromises.

"And it’s doubly upsetting that David keeps saying that he’s never asked her to make any of these sacrifices – he’s said that he actually doesn’t want to uproot the family to move them to Miami.

So, Vic is the one who’ll be shouldering the burden of balancing the constant back-and-forth of maintaining ‘business as usual’ at home and spending time with him in the US.”

The insider continues, “While Vic trusts David, she is concerned that the more he’s out there on his own, the more women may try and target him. It’s important for her to establish her presence as his wife, and she also wants to be involved with the club and be his partner.

"She’s seen how women in Miami just approach men, writing their phone number on napkins and sending it over!

“Vic also knows David likes to go out, especially when he’s with his friends, so she is concerned he could be pictured with lots of women.

"She knows he wouldn’t do anything, but situations like that just cause more speculation about the state of their marriage, and she thinks that by being in Miami more, she can stop any rumours.”
