Westlife’s Nicky Byrne could be heading to Eurovision 2016!

Could Nicky outdo the UK’s usual nil points?

WESTLIFE NICKY

Former Westlife star Nicky Byrne could be representing Ireland at this year’s Eurovision song contest. According to reports, the singer turned radio DJ believes he has a good chance in the competition, should he choose to put himself forward.

“Most people will be shocked as he was never the strongest singer in the band but he’s a great performer, he has good stage presence and he’s very likeable so who knows?” an insider told the Irish Mirror.

“It’s just crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s at this stage but Nicky looks set to following in Jedward’s footsteps and singing at the Eurovision.”

Incredible!

Westlife split back in 2012 after 14 years together and while Mark and Shane have gone on to secure record deals, the insider claims that Nicky thinks this could be the chance to “relaunch [his] pop career.”

We’d definitely vote for those twinkling, blue eyes. Go, Nicky!
