If this year's taught us anything, it's that a little kindness goes a long way. So, to celebrate World Kindness Day this Friday 13th November, we've called on some of our celeb pals to join our mission to make the UK a kinder place.

As part of our #PledgeKindness campaign The Voice coach Olly Murs, I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star AJ Pritchard and brother Curtis, Celebrity Juice's Keith Lemon, Laura Whitmore and Emily Atack and a whole host more have told us just what kindness means to them.

Check out what the famous folk have to say below, and join our movement to make the UK a kinder place at http://www.wheresyourheadat.org/pledgekindness.

AJ Pritchard

"To me, kindness means going out of your way to do something for somebody; expecting absolutely nothing in return."

Olly Murs

"It's important to be kind. That one act of kindness could really change somebody's day; it costs absolutely nothing. It might be a smile, a compliment or letting them out of a parking space."

Curtis Pritchard

"Kindness is about equality. It's about treating people how you want to be treated. It's free, it doesn't take up any energy and you never know what somebody's been through. I pride myself on being kind to everybody."

HRVY

"It's so important to be kind because you don't know what people are going through."

Katie Piper

"Kindness is stopping to think about how your actions can affect other people."

Paige Turley

"Kindness is important because, although we live in a world of seven billion people, it's still so easy to feel alone. A small act of kindness such as a smile can go such a long way in this world."

The Saccone Jolys

'kindness means putting somebody else before yourself and doing something nice for somebody else without expecting anything back."

Celebrity Juice's Keith Lemon, Laura Whitmore and Emily Atack

Keith: "Kindness to me means thinking about other people. It's a lot nicer to think about other people than to think about yourself."

Laura: "Kindness is showing respect for each other and yourself."
