Think that beards are just for hipsters, fishermen and Father Christmas? Wrong.

Growing a beard is also a great way to raise money for charity Beating Bowel Cancer.

If you reach the end of ‘Movember’ and can’t BEAR the thought of shaving off your moustache then go the whole hog in December and get a full beard on the go.

TV presenter Matthew Wright says: “I’d encourage anyone to get involved in the Decembeard campaign. It raises funds for a great cause and helps to spread awareness of the disease. You simply ditch the razor for a month and get sponsored. What could be easier?”

More than 41,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in the UK every year, but if diagnosed early 90% of cases are treated easily.
