It's hard to believe it's nearly been six weeks since The X Factor finished and our lives were cast into a black hole of disarray. Six weeks without Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Simonl Cowell lighting up our screens, six weeks without Honey G gracing the stage and making us forget all our troubles with her lyrical prowess.
Over Christmas we didn't quite know what to do with ourselves, but then January came and we had Celebrity Big Brother to fill the reality TV void in our lives and for that we'll be forever grateful.
Anyway, it's safe to say we were pretty X Factor obsessed and it probably has something to do with the absolute shitload of dramz last series brought. Need we mention the 294184908104 claims of 'it’s a FIX'? Contro or what?
One thing we can all agree on is how bloody amazing all three acts in the X Factor final were. And they all seem to be continuing their success after the show too.
Winner Matt Terry released a BANGER of a winner's single with a little help from our pal Ed Sheeran.
Runner-up Saara Aalto has landed a record deal in the UK and in Finland.
And now we've just heard that 5 After Midnight, who came third in the competition, have been signed to Simon's label, Syco.
Nathan Lewis, Kieran Alleyne and Jordan Lee have become the first boyband signed to the label since One Direction, so we're expecting BIG things from the boys.
Speaking to The Sun, a source revealed: "There's no better label for them. If anyone knows how to find success with a boyband it's Simon Cowell."
We couldn't agree more.
(P.S. we wrote an ode to the singing and dancing boyband before The X Factor final – take a look)
Reports claim that the boys will also be guided by showbiz heavyweights Professor Jonathan Shalt and Ashley Tabor while working with Simon.
And Syco's Managing Director, Tyler Brown, had this to say about the 5 After Midnight boys: "It is very rare that a group can sing, dance and perform at a level that 5 After Midnight do. We will be making a record that enables them to fully showcase their huge talent."
The boys themselves confirmed the news, with Jordan telling The Sun: "To say we are part of a roster that includes artists like One Direction and Little Mix is just incredible."
YAAAAS.
