We at heat love The X Factor. We love it so much we even watched last year when Dermot O'Leary and Louis Walsh weren't in it. It was hard though, we won't lie.

But this year's is a Dermot and Louis-full DREAM. It's provided an abundance of dramz, living dolls, and a guy who is LITERALLY Louis Tomlinson's twin.

But we'd been kinda worried about our fave show, given that it was hit by what can only be described as an absolute ratings NIGHTMARE on its pilot episode.

The amount of people tuning into the show was the lowest in TEN YEARS.

It was watched by 6.8 million people, which seems like a hella lot to us, but it was actually 800,000 less than last year.

And last year didn't even have Dermz!

But we can breathe easily, because any notion that the show could get cancelled has just been crushed, as it (alongside its cousin Britain's Got Talent) has just been renewed for at least another three years.

Kevin Lygo, ITV's director of television, said: "Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor are both big, brilliant, wonderful shows and I am delighted that they will continue to take up their place as an important part of our schedule for the next three years."

WOOP WOOP.

And Simon Cowell himself chimed in, saying: "I want to thank ITV for continuing to be fantastic partners. I'm delighted for the shows and, in particular, for all the talented people who work on them with us."

In other X Factor news, did you hear Gamu Nhengu has been FOUND? She's working as a stylist in Topshop!

We missed her.

Also, Mel B is returning (and we can't bloody wait).

OH, and the welcome party was apaz a MASSIVE ORGY.
