Brand new X Factor hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack have been told they WON’T be needed for the Judges’ Houses segment of the show – so they’re not leaving the studio.

Unlike previous host Dermot O’Leary, the pair won’t be flown out to visit Simon Cowell’s massive mansion in Los Angeles, or Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s place in… wherever it is she lives now.

Even if Nick Grimshaw has his way and broadcasts live from his mum’s house in Oldham, Carolly won’t be able to join him there.

A source told the Sun: “Olly and Caroline are gutted they won’t get to join the judges in all of these locations.

“Being with the judges and contestants at this crucial stage is one of the best bits of the job. And it beats being stood in a cold studio in Wembley.” Yeah, we can imagine.

“But they are excited about the series. Of course there’ll be banter with the judges about them missing out,” the insider added.

Oh good, more banter. Just what this country needs.

It’s not so bad for Caroline – at least she escaped the perpetual grizzly skies of the UK for a bit while filming Love Island. It’s Olly we’re worried about. What if he doesn’t get enough vitamin D and starts developing rickets? Simon really needs to think about this.

The X Factor starts again this autumn and already the judges have finished the second round of auditions and are about to start filming the Boot Camp stage. EXCITING.
