When it comes to The X Factor, we at heat are fairly traditional.
(We aren't when it comes to much else – we just loooove the peen.)
Anyway, because of our conservative with a small c leaning in the context of the show, we don't like it when they change it up too much.
Remember when they overhauled the judging panel and GOT RID OF DERMOT O'LEARY?
That was a dark time.
But luckily this year they've got the old judges back (we love you, Louis Walsh) and Dermz is better than ever. We comforted ourselves that it was finally 2010 again (a year of One Direction and Matt Cardle AKA the best time of our lives) and we could finally relax.

BUT WHAT'S THIS? The show has announced there's going to be a whole new twist at this year's live shows – and despite ourselves we're actually quite excited about it.
There's going to be some sort of mechanical jukebox (retro) that will determine each week's theme.

The themes up for grabs include Oscars, Boy Band vs Girl Band, Disco, Motown, 80’s, Divas and Louis Loves (the Louis Walsh collection), and they'll be decided on the previous week's show.
We love the sound of the Louis Walsh one.
This week's theme is 'Express Yourself', where each contestant will perform a song that showcases who they are as artists.
The first song choices of these have been revealed, and you can check these out HERE. We have mixed emotions.
In other X Factor news, it's emerged that the contestant house is in some sort of red light district dogging hotspot.
WHATEVER NEXT?
The live shows kick off this Saturday 8 October at 8pm on ITV.
