Ryan Lawrie is officially out of The X Factor 2016, and it doesn’t sound like he’s happy about it…
The singer was booted out of the competition after losing in the sing off to Honey G, and he’s been telling This Morning some very interesting things about her "split personality".
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, Ryan spilled "I feel…like that’s a character that she portrays".
Revealing that he didn’t actually see Honey G much inside The X Factor house because she was "in her room" and "rehearsing a lot", Ryan compared her to Keith Lemon, saying "I still feel like there's two sides to her, it's like a split personality kind of thing".
Ouch.
Speaking about that accent, Ryan said that Honey G’s voice switched from "really posh" to "doing the street talk. I think she’s really smart and she knows what she’s doing and it’s working really well, she’s in the quarter final now".
Yep. Honey G. In the quarter final. Of The X Factor. It’s like Stevi Richie all over again. X Factor legend Brian Friedman even said that Honey G could be as big as One Direction.
Ryan was sick when he had to face the sing off on Sunday, but still belted out Ed Sheeran’s Lego House against Honey G’s Get Ya Freak On. He became the seventh contestant to be axed from The X Factor 2016 after only Nicole voted to save Ryan.
Seems like even Simon Cowell is under Honey’s spell – even if he doesn’t think she’ll take the title of X Factor champ 2016. As for Louis Walsh ditching Ryan for Honey, we’re really not surprised.
Ryan also said that he felt like the "big production vibe" around Honey G’s performances were the reason he went home, saying “the judges been given her standing ovation every week, so I felt like I was going to leave".
Ryan’s girlfriend and fellow X Factor contestant Emily Middlemas posted an emotional tribute to her BF on Instagram after his exit, calling herself the "proudest girlfriend in the world". Aww! She even dropped the L word…
Will Honey G live to sing another day? We’ll be watching on Saturday to find out.
