Since Paul Akister was booted off the* X Factor* it seems that he’s done everything he can to keep up his appearance – including forking out £100 on FAKE designer jewellery!

Yes, you heard right. Well, the gigs might be rolling in but he’s not exactly rolling in the money just yet, so you can’t blame the boy for trying. And without being sent actual designer freebies, Paul has found his own way of looking like a bobby-dazzler for cheap as chips!

Whether it’s shopping or getting his hair done, he says he now spends more than ever to keep his X Factor makeover. Speaking exclusively to us at the Style For Stroke fundraiser at London’s Café KaiZen, Paul admits: “I have been spending a lot. The other week I spent £100 on fake jewellery, accessories and stuff. I did used to spend a lot before but now I’ve got a bit more money.”

And when it comes to looking good, Paul says it takes him an hour to get ready now – when he used to be done in 10 minutes! He added: “I need to get my eyebrows done, they’re growing back. I have to book myself into the hairdressers every week – I have to have my hair dyed because I’ve got grey hairs all over the place, you’d notice them if it grew – I’d be Louis Walsh number two.”

Uh oh. Let's hope Paul's got a supply of body scrub, he'll need it to remove the green marks round his neck and wrists when his fakery starts to discolour...
