Last night Ben Haenow won the X Factor 2014 – and this morning his long-term girlfriend Jessica Jones has opened up about what life with the white van driver from Croydon is like now he’s a TV superstar.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jessica says: “He's been very good at keeping me as involved as much as possible and he's so down to earth – he has stayed very grounded throughout the whole competition.”
While the couple haven’t been able to spend much time together lately, what with the ultimate singing competition and everything, Ben has been calling and texting whenever he can, says Jessica.
Now he’s got Saturday nights free we hope he treats her to a slap-up meal. Maybe at the same place as their first date – a “candlelit MacDonald’s” according to Jessica. Or maybe not…
But the big elephant in the corner is – will they get married now Ben’s won The X Factor?

Jessica was coy about wanting to marry her van-driver-turned-superstar boyfriend but did hint it was on the cards, saying: “I don’t want Ben to feel pressured by anything or anyone about proposing. But when the time is right it will happen, and when it does, I’d like it to be private and nothing too glitzy.”
Hmm, do you think Jessica may already have a wedding file at the ready?
But it seems that Ben’s just as keen to find the right time to propose to Jessica – and almost popped the question on Good Morning Britain this morning.
