X Factor’s Brian Friedman thinks Nick Grimshaw SHOULDN’T get a judging role on the show

Very tactfully put, Brian

Choreographer Brian Friedman is an X Factor veteran, so trust him to have opinions on who should – or shouldn’t – get a job on the judging panel.

Look away now Nick Grimshaw… because Brian isn’t your biggest fan (although he is actually being quite nice about it).

“He isn’t a musical artist so I’m not sure what coaching he’d be able to give the contestants,” Brian told* The Sun*.

“The criteria should be an amazing management type or successful artist.”

Hmm, funny that, Brian – because we remember when you had a VERY BRIEF stint as an X Factor judge in 2007 and you’re not a singer or manager either (though we’ll concede you’re an excellent choreographer – being the man behind Britney Spears’ Slave 4 U video, after all).

Anyway, Brian has a point. Although we reckon that Nick will be amazing, if he gets the job.

He’s also got a thing or two to say about Cheryl Fernandez-Versini being, as Louis Walsh described her to heat, “lazy”.

“She’s anything but. I’m Team Cheryl... but also Team Louis.”

Well, hardly damning – but we *think Brian’s defending Chez, there.

Er, watch out Nick Grimshaw – Brian’s got his very polite opinions on you, and he’s not afraid to show them.
