We haven’t seen Christopher Maloney for a while – we assumed he was off singing on a cruise ship with his nan in tow, after that exhausting holiday to Egypt he took with Danniella Westbrook and all.
But apparently he’s actually been busy spending an actual FORTUNE on plastic surgery. This wasn’t what we expected, tbh.
The 2012 _X Factor f_inalist went on This Morning and spoke about the £60,000 and 40 hours worth of plastic surgery he’s had – two nose jobs, an eye lift, three hair transplants and teeth veneers.
“X Factor was great, but as the series was going on and the further that I got in the competition I was getting really bad trolls.
They were telling me that they were going to kill me, shoot me. I was called Mr Potato Head, that I was ugly, that I had a big nose and it just affected me so much and at the end of the final, I had a breakdown,” he told Christine Bleakeley and Phillip Schofield.
Christopher explained that he ended up in The Priory after being “unable to function” after X Factor - where he was dubbed the bad guy of the show due to his alleged diva strops.
“I never thought of surgery beforehand. I did block the online trolls but they got me on the lowest part of my life. I hated myself, I hated looking at myself, I would analyse myself in mirror.
“I had stress-induced hair loss. It would came out in clumps before I was doing TV interviews. Towards end of show you can see [my] hairline is right back and trolls picked up on that.”
Christopher says that his £60k surgery has made him confident and happy in himself as he looks forward to the future.
