Zayn Malik planned One Direction departure a year ago says Oritse Williams

Zayn Malik may have planned his One Direction departure a year ago according to ex-JLS singer, Oritse Williams.

Speaking to his close pop pal during a trip to Las Vegas last September, Zayn Malik, 22, reportedly told Oritse Williams, 28, about the idea of leaving the band.

Apaz, Oritse told him “to be himself”, which is just about the cheesiest advice we've ever heard EVER.

OWS explained: “Zayn spoke to me when we were together in Vegas last year

“It’s a very special thing and not a lot of artists show gratitude for that. But I told him to be himself and to keep going.”

Zayn decided to leave the band after five years earlier this year, so he could pursue the life of a "a normal 22 year old", since then, a rejected One Direction track featuring vocals from Zayn and produced by Naughty Boy has been leaked.

There has also been talk that Zayn might be pursuing a career in the movies, according to Bend It Like Beckham's director.

Either way, we've yet to hear anything about his future plans from the horse's mouth - by which we mean Zayn, a damn handsome horse - but odds are, he'll mainly be focussing on his upcoming wedding to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards, which heat's news hounds reckon will be in Disney Land Paris in June.
