Little Mix's Perrie Edwards has come under fire for her fiancé Zayn Malik's decision to quit One Direction – from a core of very pissed off Directioners, anyway.
The 21-year-old singer has been told she should quit her own music career to support Zayn, roundly blamed for his leaving – and even compared to Yoko Ono, who was seen as the reason behind the Beatles split because of her relationship with John Lennon.
Must say, we're pretty impressed the Directioners have even heard of the Beatles, let alone Yoko.
Sheesh. The reason behind the fandom's hating on Perrie is because Zayn flew home from the band's On The Road Again tour last week after being pictured holding hands and hugging a girl who wasn't Perrie.
He left the other boys – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson – back in Thailand and went straight home to Perrie, apparently for "crisis talks" about their relationship.
Zayn's people blamed stress for his leaving the tour, although in his statement last night, Zayn said he quit the band to have a normal life.
“I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight,” he added.

Zayn quits the band on 25 March. A statement reads: "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart."
