Zayn Malik has reached out to his former fellow One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson after the death of his mother.
Singer Louis’ mum Johannah Deakin died this week following a secret battle with leukaemia.
And after her news was announced on Friday, Zayn tweeted his condolences for Louis.
He wrote: "@Louis_Tomlinson love you bro! All of your family is in my prayers. Proud of your strength and know your mum is too x."
Zayn isn’t Louis’ only 1D co-star to speak out - Liam Payne has also offered some warming words online.
He tweeted: "Louis, I’m so sorry for you my brother, my heart aches for you. Just know I can’t begin to imagine what you are all going through. RIP Johannah, you are forever in my thoughts."
Niall Horan added: "Very sad news. Louis, I love you mate and I’m/all of us are here for you all the way. Your mum was an incredible person.
"Thinking of you and your family. Love from my family to yours."
Johannah’s husband Dan Deakin announced the sad news of her death on Friday in a statement to The Sun.
He said: "It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016.
"Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment.
"We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private."
