Ever since Zayn left 1D, he’s been bossing it as a solo music man and we’ve been cry-eating Ben and & Jerry’s and watching old X Factor clips on YouTube. SOB.
Despite telling us all he just wanted to be a “normal 22-year-old”, the singer’s spent zero time in Nandos and a LOT of time being glitzy with supermodel gf Gigi Hadid.
Just when we thought we were starting to adjust to life without our fave fivesome, Zayn broke our hearts yet again when he accepted the AMA for New Artist Of The Year on Sunday.
After hopping up on stage, Zayn made a cheeky reference to his days in the WORLD’S GREATEST BOYBAND.
He said: "Wow - this just has my name on it, right?”
Hmmm...
He then went on to do the whole thanking everyone thing but didn’t mention his superhumanly-gorgeous gf Gigi Hadid, who was hosting the awards.
"I can't thank the people that have been with me every day the past year enough," he said.
"Standing here is crazy. My mum, my dad, everybody in my family that's been supporting me the past year, especially my dad. Thank you, Dad."
But, despite being a global megastar and king of our shattered hearts, Zayn was still pretty modest TBH.
He added: "I didn't expect anybody to still vote for me. So thank you, and I’ll put it on my fireplace."
Meanwhile, Zayn has been copping quite a bit of apparent shade himself from ex-fiancé, Perrie Edwards.
News Au say they’ve obtained the original lyrics to ultimate diss track (and shower karaoke banger) Shout Out To My Ex.
Apparently the song was supposed to go like this: "heard he been f*cking some model chick.
"Yeah that shit hurt I'll admit/ But f*ck it boy I'm over it."
Coincidence? You decide…
