Any given Big Brother series often gifts fans with iconic double acts, and Big Brother 2024 was no exception. Of course, we were all surprised by the romantic pairing of Nathan King and Rosie Williams, whose love story seemed to come out of nowhere, but have vowed to continue their relationship IRL.
Then we also had Nathan King and comedy cougar Emma Morgan, who we're genuinely manifesting a spin-off reality show and podcast for. We, of course, had Hanah Haji and Segun Shodipo, whose flirty friendship reached a confusing peak towards the end of the series.
We then, of course, had rival double acts like Ali Bromley and Marcello Spooks, whose wallflower dance will remain rent free in our minds for eternity. But our fave double act of Big Brother 2024 was without a doubt the unlikely pairing that was winner Ali and Marmite housemate Lily Benson.
On paper, these two should not have got on, but in reality Ali became a protective force and ally for Lily and the pair had each other's backs unconditionally throughout the rollercoaster ride that is Big Brother.
And after speaking to both of them about the other IRL, heatworld can confirm that these two are giving Ant and Dec levels of longevity, despite actually only knowing each other a few weeks; so much so, that Ali has even teased that Lily will play a part in her wedding to partner, Cherelle, should they ever get married. Which, let's be honest, is definitely on the cards because Cherelle basically proposed to Ali over the phone in the Big Brother house – via Lily, but we don't talk about her abysmal message relaying skills.
Lily might not have got the message, but we all did.
Ali exclusively told heatworld, 'One hundred per cent. If I get married, and obviously, I declared to the world rather confidently that my partner's message to me was basically a proposal, but if we get married, Lily is my flower girl. I think that would be wonderful and hilarious in equal measure. She would definitely be part of any future wedding.'
No, we are obsessed. Consider our hats already bought.
During our exclusive chat with the Big Brother winner, Ali also opened up about her confusing relationship with Emma and some of the scenes she thinks the public might've missed.
Ali also spoke about what those final moments with Marcello were REALLY like.
