Did Caroline Flack just throw major shade at previous Love Island contestants?

She’s not impressed by those teeth whitening deals

Is there anything that sums up 2018 life quite so much as going on Love Island and then spending the next year of your life promoting protein powders on Instagram? No there is not.

And we frankly could not be more excited to see what sort of #ads will be thrown our way by this year’s intake of islanders.

But host of the show Caroline Flack seems to have thrown a teeny tiny bit of shade toward previous contestants' use of social media, while praising Camilla Thurlow for using her fame for good.

Speaking to AOL Build, she said: “She's [Camilla] gone on and used what she's gained from that show and put it to good use.

“It's not all about coming out and getting teeth whitening deals.”

Former bomb disposal expert Camilla uses her social media to post about her work to help refugees, and recently wrote an inspirational message about International Women’s Day.

She said: “‘Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women’ - Maya Angelou. Every woman has their battles, both public and hidden.

“There are days when they wake up broken, but somehow find the strength to carry on. Thank you today and all days because it is that everyday bravery that has given many of us a better present, and together a chance to work for a brighter future for women across the world #IWD2018 #TimeIsNow#InternationalWomensDay”.
