One of the most talked about relationships of Love Island 2025 is undoubtedly that of Harry Cooksley and Helena Ford. Despite being two of the oldest Islanders on series 12, there's something about these two that reminds us of the two popular kids that decided to give things a go in high school.

Come on, we all knew a couple like this, didn't we? They started off as mates who overused the word banter, and then when they started dating, he became more of a menace, she started turning a blind eye to absolutely everything, and everyone but them knew it wasn't going to work out.

For a while there, we thought Harry and Helena were going to prove us wrong, especially when they made things exclusive and Harry swore to quit flirting with other girls. But a shock admission from Shakira Khan (she recently admitted to still having feelings for Harry) and a few uncomfortable spotlights shone at The Grafties has created some uneasy friction between Harry and Helena, leading to their reported split.

Of course, a lot of viewers are saying that Harry will once again talk his way out of it and Helena will once again ignore the receipts, but like so many fans of the show, we're left asking: why, Helena? Why put up with Harry's downright disrespectful antics? Especially now you're exclusive and so called boundaries have been set (and broken).

The story is still playing out in the villa, so we can hardly put these questions to Helena, but we can ask two people very close to her now they're back in the UK: Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood.

Lauren was recently dumped from the villa following an extremely turbulent time in the villa thanks to Harrison. In a shocking twist, he decided he couldn't stay in the villa without her and left of his own accord 24 hours later.

Harrison especially is the perfect person to put this question to, as not only did he grow close to Helena at the start of his Love Island journey, but he was best friends with Harry in the villa, describing him as his 'older brother' on more than one occasion.

So why, Harrison? Why has Helena been putting up with Harry's mad behaviour for so long?

He replied, 'I think Helena has put up with Harry's antics because she likes him a lot. I think from day one, they got on really, really well. And I think all through this experience, Harry was in the back of Helena's his mind.

'So, I think obviously Helena does have strong feelings towards H. I do think they really, really get on, as well. [But] I can see it from the outsiders point of view as well. Yeah, I'm not too sure as to why she laughs off certain situations.'

Lauren added, 'Personally, I think they are both jokey people and don’t take things too seriously. So I think she just laughs it off. Things obviously bother her.'

Diving a bit deeper, Harrison added, 'I think it's a coping mechanism of Helena's; she she's left some serious situations because she doesn't really know how to deal with it, but I feel like she's trying to set boundaries now and be exclusive as well. So hopefully that changes.'

Well, if the rumours are true, she's finally standing on business...
