As far as Love Island experiences go, Helena Ford's wasn't the most successful. Sure, her tumultuous journey on the dating show has made Love Island 2025 one of the best series in a long time, but nobody wants to be brutally dumped from the villa on a random Thursday alongside Blu Chegini.

The OG Islander found herself on a flight back to England this week after viewers voted her and Blu their least favourite couple – not surprising seeing as they were the only platonic duo in the villa.

Now she's out of the villa, Helena has been chatting about her iconic stint on the romance reality TV show. From opening up about her relationship with Harry Cooksley to reflecting on the whole experience, Helena was happy to offer up some home truths.

During her exit interview, Helena was quizzed on who she is rooting for and we were both surprised and not surprised by her response.

'Dejon [Noel Williams] and Meg [Moore],' she confirmed, and that is exactly who we thought she would pick as the couple were her besties in the villa.

'And Yas [Pettet] and Jamie [Rhodes],' she added.

The second option was a bit more of a shock; seeing as we didn't even realise she liked the couple, let alone rooted for them. That'll be the editing for you.

Having said that, editing or not, there is a clear divide between the girlies in the villa; on one side you have Helena, Angel Swift, Meg with Megan Forte Clarke (formerly of their crew but now playing a much more diplomatic position after she spent some time in the real world, would you believe). On the opposing team there is Toni Laites, Yas and Shakira Khan, who are more than happy to call a spade a spade.

'I fully back D and Meg,' Helena reiterated, 'I did express my opinions about them as a couple which we saw on Movie Night, but when they went exclusive I saw a completely different side to them.'

Ah yes, the dreaded Movie Night that revealed Harry and Helena claiming Meg and Dejon were only together as they had a 'game plan' and they didn't even have a 'spark'. Savage.

'I think they will go the whole way and be great on the outside,' she confirmed.
