So THIS is why Love Island’s Adam and Katie didn’t have sex in the Hideaway

Last night's Love Island contained one scene that cannot be unseen: the sight of Adam Maxell's panicked face when he and Katie Salmon were nominated to spend their last night together in the Hideaway, aka the F*ck Bunker.

As we all know by now, what happens in the Hideaway definitely does not stay in the Hideaway, and by the looks of things the lads were just helping their bro out.

But viewers were confused when Adam refused to have sex with Katie, even after massaging her in her underwear, and rolled over to go to sleep instead.

Lovely.

Turns out there's one VERY good reason why Adam politely refused to partake in intercourse, and that's because he's worried about his future career.

His future WWE career, that is.

"I couldn't risk having sex on TV because I have to think of my passion and my dream of making it to the WWE, and in America that would go against me if I did do that, so I haven't done it and that's why," he later explained.

We've looked into this WWE thing and we've found nothing that would prevent the 'talent' from having sex if they were to be offered a wrestling contract, tbh.

Maybe Adam took one look around the Hideaway, clocked just how disgusting it was and preferred not to add to the general grossness.

Catch the Love Island finale tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
