In case you haven’t been keeping up to date with Love Island (what on earth have you been doing, eh?) the first couple was dumped from the island last weekend.
Hayley Hughes and Charlie Frederick were sent packing after being voted the least compatible couple in the villa – and Charlie was absolutely fuming about it.
He blamed their departure on Hayley’s coldness towards him after picking him at the re-coupling and even said she ‘wasn’t like’ on Love Island: Aftersun.
Despite his harsh words about Hayley and being branded as ‘bitter’, Charlie appears to have been a big hit with viewers as producers are keen to bring the hunk back to the villa.
“Charlie was a hit with viewers and behind the scenes everyone thinks it’s really unfortunate he had to leave,” a source told The Sun.
“There’s been a lot of talk about how he could possibly make a comeback – just like Mike Thalassitis did in last year’s series.”
However, bosses are keen to avoid anything too predictable on this year’s show – so want to make sure his return would be ‘explosive’ if it was to happen.
The source added: “Bosses know what the public want and they have listened. Watch this space when it comes to Charlie.”

In other Love Island news, Danny Dyer joked he was flying into Love Island to confront Jack Fincham (who's coupled up with Danny's daughter Dani) over his impression of the EastEnders actor.
Sharing a picture of his face edited on to a skydiver, Danny wrote: "On me way to have a couple of cheeky tequilas with some slice of a geezer called Jack. #fathersday #loveisland"
