Water engineer Jake Cornish has made quite the impression on Love Island 2021. From his blossoming relationship with Liberty Poole â aka âme with a wig onâ â to his outrageous foot fetish (which he likes to mention at any given opportunity), Jake's ways have definitely gripped the nation.
Seriously, we reckon he'll be cemented in Love Island history forever.
As well as his relationship with Liberty, Jakeâs also enjoying a very cute bromance with blue-eyed Geordie Brad McClelland. Heâs also made a name for himself as a bit of an alpha male flexing his impressive muscles that are covered in tattoos.
However, it wasnât always that way, as unearthed throwback pictures of Jake completely tattoo-free have surfaced after a long scroll on his Instagram.
Jake, who was in Year 11 (weâre feeling VERY old) at the time the snaps were taken, is seen posing with his mates and flexing his muscles in mirror selfies.
He was even voted the next "Joey Essex" by his classmates at school due to his "dedication to his appearance and fashion sense".
An old friend told MailOnline, "Jake was given the title as the âmost likely to be the next Joey Essexâ because of his looks.
"He was, even at that age, obsessed with his appearance and imitated Joeyâs style even back then. He was a real pretty boy.
"Itâs no surprise he ended up on Love Island because he fits right in."

The mate went on to admit that the Islander gave himself the nickname, âYoung Cornâ at school.
"He was deadly serious about that, there was no irony to it at all," said his pal.
"He just thought it was really cool to be referred to as Young Corn, and it did actually catch on for a bit."

What is it with this yearâs Islanders and weird nicknames? Bucket hat company owner Chuggs Wallis, who was dumped from the villa after a few days, sent Twitter into meltdown when he revealed the truth behind his nickname.
Many questioned what Chuggsâ real name was, because they were adamant that it is a nickname.
One viewer tweeted, "Chuggs is sending me, what reason does this man have to hide his government name #LoveIsland."
During a date with Sharon Gaffka, he came clean, explaining that it is actually a "baby name" mash-up made using the words 'cuddles and hugs'.
He said, "It's my nickname, like a baby name. Cuddles and hugs. My Christian name is Oliver."
