Now that we've had our handful of winter reality shows – I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, The X Factor: Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing have all recently wrapped – it's time to get ready forWinter Love Island, which will be making its ITV debut very soon.

And adding to our already substantial excitement is former Love Island star Maura Higgins, who's posted a topless pic showing herself overlooking the sea and mountains, while holding her bikini top in the air.

Maura wrote to her followers on Instagram, "Do one winter...", causing fans to speculate that she may just be involved in the upcoming series since that is the EXACT turn of phrase used in the series trailer.

Hmmm.

Since posting the image fans of Maura and Love Island have linked the two together and even suggested that Higgins will be taking Caroline Flack's role, the previously confirmed host of Winter Love Island.

Things kicked off as Maura's former co-star and notorious shit-stirrerChris Taylor commented, "I really hope this means what I think it means 🤞🏻".

What a cheeky minx.

After Chris opened up the question, fans of the match-making show joined in with the excitement, as one wrote, "she’s replacing the Flack".

Another commented, "Winter Love Island host?!?".

Caroline Flack was allegedly arrested and charged with assault following a row with her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, which is why some fans are hopeful that Maura could be her replacement.

"Omg could she be replacing her??", another asked.

It's no surprise that followers have come to this conclusion, as Maura also previously posted a photo of her flying on a private jet, and teased fans that she was, "Off to shoot something very exciting."
