Love Island 2018 star Samira Mighty dated a really famous Hollywood actor

We don’t mean to alarm anyone, but the start of the best reality TV show in the history of reality TV shows is just around the corner.

We’ve already met the first bunch of Islanders hoping to crack on and claim that £50,000 prize and have been making early predictions about who’s going to be coupling up with who.

But one contestant seemingly has some very high standards, as Samira Mighty’s revealed she once dated an actual Hollywood star.

She swapped numbers and enjoyed a swanky date with actor Chris Pine, after meeting him at a celeb event.

“I went to the GQ Man of the Year after party, and I thought I recognised this guy. I knew him from the Disney Channel,” Samira told Digital Spy.

"I thought, 'my God, he was in that movie with Lindsay Lohan,' and he kind of moved to me and I thought, 'he seems fun, he seems cool.'"

(Sidenote: Remember Just My Luck with Lindsay, Chris and McFly? An underrated classic, tbh.)

Samira then admitted she looked him up and realized he was kind of a big deal, so gave him her number, and then he messaged her and asked her out on a date.

"We went to Soho Hotel, where he stays, and it was super nice," she continued, before revealing that things didn’t go further as she was reeling from a recent break-up.

Samira added Chris still regularly texts her and told her he’d be in London over summer and asked to hangout, but she had to decline as she’s appearing on Love Island – which seemingly didn’t go down too well with the Star Trek actor.

“He was like, ‘ahh, Ok’. I was like, cool'. End of friendship end of convo!"
