Now that Love Island has finished we've been constantly checking the series 12 Islanders socials so that we can keep up to date with their shenanigans.

We're desperate to hear Toni Laites' iconic one liners, see Cach Mirjah Mercer dancing on TikTok and at this point, we'll even listen to Meg Moore and Dejon Noel-Williams bang on about being girlfriend and boyfriend.

Another thing we've been desperate to hear about is the infamous girls divide that pretty much plagued the entire series this year.

From the very beginning it was Toni, Yasmin Pettet and Shakira Khan vs Meg, Helena Ford and Megan Forte-Clarke and despite Movie Night, the Grafties and Megan being dumped and then returning (with Dejon and Harry Cooksley hinting that she changed the second time round) - the feud continued very much until the end of the show.

Now, a couple weeks after the final, Shakira has spoken out about what it was really like living in the villa with the girls you're feuding with and, honestly? It sounds brutal.

'We felt that massively in the changing room, the snickers, the whispers, the dirty looks,' she told i-D magazine.

'When you come around the corner and they stop talking, you feel isolated, it feels frosty, really tense, and it’s not nice.

'It wasn’t a bad edit; we tried to fix it, but that was our experience, we lived it.'

Shakira speaking out comes shortly after she spilled the tea on their nickname in the villa and it shouldn't come as a surprise, especially considering how isolating she felt on the show.

Shortly after the Love Island final, Meg opened up to the producers about the feud and admitted, 'Since the talent show, I feel like it brought us together and I have no problem with those girls and wouldn’t speak badly about them.'

She continued, 'Being around people 24/7, we used to say you argue with your sisters at home and it’s the same with the girls in there. You can’t get on with everyone but we haven’t left on bad terms.

'They are great people, so funny in their own way and I can’t say a bad word about them.'

Doubt we'll see the girls on a night out in Tape any time soon.
